Best Friends Celebrate our Friend's Birthday Week
Last week was our friend, Kim's, birthday week. Birthday week, bookended by 2 Birthday Weekends, contained many a memorable celebration. A few examples: We met Helen. We ate cake and played darts, which is very different from the usual not eating cake but still playing darts. We also played darts without eating cake. (Best Friends LOVE playing darts. Its what we do.) We went to the horse races. We drank cocktails in a bag. We ate lots of good food. And we went to jimjilbang. Our jimjilbang experience could be the ultimate BFFBlog experience. One story, two perspectives. I LOVE jimjilbang. My Best Friend Zach doesn't really love it. I also LOVE being in saunas. My Best Friend Zach also doesn't really love being in them. So it went like this: I went into every single room they had and ended up a sweaty mess and my Best Friend Zach hung out in the common area playing cards and doing the crossword puzzle. Two very different perspectives, right? That's how we roll. I think we were both glad that our friend Kim had such a fun birthday week, though.

Best Friends Share
Sometimes your bibimbap comes with meat in it. And sometimes, the entire bibimbap is just for you (bibimbap is big!). "A special day for you," they say. These are the times when its important to have your BFF around because Best Friends share.

Not Much Happening?
Some of you may be wondering why there haven't been any posts recently. "Are they best friends?" you may be asking... "Do they do anything exciting?" you may be asking...
The obvious answer to that is a resounding yes.
It would be a grave mistake if you thought the excitement in our 'best friend life' was gone. Far from it. The excitement level is registering off the charts. The past 2 weeks has been one non-stop thrillride of excitement. That's the reason for no posts recently. We haven't had time to post the excitement.
It's not that we don't care about you, the little people. On the contrary, we care about you very much. But there is one thing you must understand about BFFs. BFFs trump the little people. So know your place. Know who you are. And know that the blog updates will come. They will come when we want them to come. Not when you want them to come. You are not a BFF...at least not to us.

Honesty and Talent
Direct quote from Heather speaking to Zach:
"It doesn't matter that you don't have any natural talent."

Sometimes Best Friends Means Sharing Your Turn at Darts
... which is awesome if your Best Friend is a way better darts player than you are.
So Much To Say....So Little Said
How does one decide what to blog about here at BFF Central?
Our BFFness is so incredible, it is literally filled with blogworthy stuff that must be filtered before the truly greatest of the great stuff makes the blog.
You see, we don't want to bog you down at this blog reading about how great our BFFness is. Too much reporting from us could be overkill. Rather, we choose to use this as a platform to inspire others. We want you, the reader, to know the possibilities that lie ahead of you in a BFF. We want you to finish reading each and every individual post here with a sense of inspiration on what life has to offer.
So, please, be inspired.
Before I leave, let me give you one example about how hard it is to blog only the best of the best stuff:
On Monday afternoon, I was talking to BFF-Heather in either the staff room or the computer room (I'm not sure which one (but that's not the issue here)). We struck up a very interesting conversation and at the end I said, "I'm gonna blog about this."
Later on, I was talking to the same BFF-Heather. We were discussing our blogging (as we must do in order to fully filter out the lesser-great stuff). Neither one of us could remember the conversation we were having earlier in the day that was worth blogging about. Why? Easily, because the day was filled with so many blog-worthy moments.
It is impossible to remember every moment, even the greatest ones, when so much greatness happens everyday. Well, hopefully, soon, that amazing conversation will be recalled and will be shared with all to read. Until then....be inspired.
